Bishkek

Take a city tour of Bishkek, which sits in the Tien Shan mountain range in the Chui Valley. It is an interesting example of a czarist planned city; laid on a grid with wide boulevards flanked by irrigation canals and large trees, buildings with marble façades, and Soviet apartment complexes. Visit :
Victory square which is dedicated to the victory over Nazi Germany.
Oak Park, which is one of the oldest parks in the city. The first trees were planted by Alexei Fetisov in 1890, a botanist from Russia.
The Ala-Too Square which was built in 1984 to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The State History Museum, formerly known as the Lenin Museum. Here you can view exhibits such as samples of rock paintings, a number of ancient coins, items from the Bronze Age, jewelry from nomads dating from the 1st century. The museum has an extensive collection of ethnographic objects as well.
